Morning Moon in Autumn

Inspired by a picture taken by Mike Finstrom:

Evening shade, glittering night sky fades away 

Morning moon rises in Autumn, 

Taunting the arcing dawning sun, 

Pastel painted leaves splotched across stubborn leaves clinging to their host's hearth,  

branches so desperately wanting to rid spring and summer residents; 

Time to refresh through winter's onslaught and awaken to new tenants;

The season whispers by, aloft by the echoes of each passing day.
