Book Recommendations’ Overview (Non-Fiction and Fiction)

Below are books I’ve read and have been either edifying, enjoyable, and/or though-provoking.

How to be a Christian in Today’s World

The book is a wonderful read for anyone who is searching for, questioning, or wanting to deepen their faith. The book works to help Christians who beat themselves up for believing they fall short, and works to restore one helping to provide the foundation for living up to their potential in a biblical manner. The world try to knock us down, but through God and his word, we’re able to overcome. Part memoir, part passionate testimony, part self-help guide, this is a must read.

The book may seem like a slow read to some, but I found it intriguing and very entertaining. It is a though provoking and intriguing book of a monk who comes to North America to recreate a historical manuscript. The novel is both a cool fish out of water story, and engaging mystery as the main character tries to fill in the gaps on how to create the missing artwork based on contextual clues and historical research.

The Lost Prophecies of Qumran : 2025 and the Final Age of Man

Discounting the foretelling chapters, (Discernment needed in reading) there is excellent and well researched information on the Essenes: How the enigmatic group, known as the Essenes, formed and what influence they had over the New Testament; What messages the Essenes left behind for believers living in this present age. How the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation fit within the ancient Essene timetable; What hidden feasts and festivals the Essenes observed and what they point to in the future; What were the circumstances of the disappearance of the Essenes and how it connects to every Christian from the past two thousand years

Operation Joktan

This modern day spy thriller based in the middle east has great characters, great action, and excellent plot, and overall wonderful story. I was impressed with the down to earth presentation of the gospel, especially how the story realistically portrayed a new believer. We live in a sinful and evil world, and the story didn't hold back what a new believer would need to experience is a sinful world with malevolent actors from other nation states. What's great is that in the end, grace and God's providence were masterfully weaved in.

No Fake Christians

Here we have a straightforward book on what it means to be a Christian from a Grace point of view, while understanding we don’t take God’s grace for granted. We realize there is also an obedience that’s required, but making sure we don’t fall into the legalism trap, and what we can do if we miss the mark.

Light of the Ark: Book 1 of Light of the Ark Series is a Christian Fiction Thriller that tells the story of a group of individuals who have a unique family heritage. While the characters are a bit one-dimensional, and the plot is similar to many other Christian-based books, the novel is still an enjoyable read. The story is well-paced and filled with enough suspense and intrigue to keep readers engaged from beginning to end. Additionally, the novel's underlying message of faith and redemption will appeal to readers looking for a meaningful and inspirational read. Overall, Light of the Ark is a solid addition to the Christian Fiction genre and a very good start to a promising series.
